This home is magic. What a wonderful little pocket of the world.

Staying at the Hippie House was just perfect. The surroundings are peaceful and beautiful and the view is amazing. We loved sitting in the outdoor bath in the evenings! The house is fully equipped so it really felt like a home away from home. The place has great character and we just loved it here.

Such an amazing spot - I do love a good estuary view, constantly changing. House was fab, loved its quirkiness. And fresh flowers! And we loved the cheeky wekas!

Great views and location is close to Abel Tasman track. Well equiped kitchen and plenty of space in the lounge area. Laundry available and undercover washing line is great for drying bike and running gear. Drive up access easy for unloading gear. Good size deck for lounging away and watching the sea.

The Hippie House is a quirky, comfortable place in a beautiful location. The house has rooms on various levels and an outside loo! If you are looking for a stunning view, this is the place for you. We absolutely recommend this place.

Manager Jackie made us feel right at home and we were able to slip into relaxation mode straight away and appreciate the view and the outdoor bath! A great house in a great location.

The hippie house was so cool! The bath tub outside on the deck was divine. A highlight of my vacation! Also the proximity to the Abel Tasman park is amazing. In the morning we easily started our hike to Mutton Cove. Wow the beaches were sooooo beautiful. I can't wait to go back!

Great house, deck views, kitchen, proximity to beach, service, hiking. Liked the remoteness, but 10 mile ride for supplies. Advise others to stock up in nearest big town before getting there. Outdoor flush toilet was unique ¬ a problem. Next door Tuis were very interesting &supportive community. Great place! Dan Drmacich &Barb Kruze

Autre bémol non précisé: maison inaccessible sans véhicule de location les transports publics n’y vont pas et il n’y a pas de taxi

Very unusual house with a great view but not as good as we expected from the previous comments

This house exceeded our expectations - it's much better than it appears on the photos. It's wonderful space built on many split levels, in a secluded setting, and the views out across the deck are fantastic. We felt immediately at home and comfortable there, and Lawrence was very friendly and helpful. We had everything we needed and the kitchen is large and well stocked with equipment. The area is just beautiful, the bay and surrounding beaches are a joy to explore, just make sure you get your supplies on the way in. We loved our stay, and none of us wanted to leave!

Really cool and stylish space in a beautiful location. The view from the deck is amazing and the den is a great comfy spot for reading on a rainy day. We got some great advice from our hosts for local swimming and walking spots which we made the most of and loved. Would highly recommend to anybody looking for a place in Golden Bay.
