House Truck is a lovingly restored and beautifully presented old house truck with fantastic sea and mountain views in a private bush location. This fully equipped wagon is a cosy sanctuary to restore your pioneer spirit.
A wood fire keeps the beautifully crafted kauri and oak timber interior warm on cooler days. This is the ideal place for a couple to get away from the hustle of daily life. Even in stormy nights staying in this house truck is a comfortable experience.
There is plenty of room for parking or an extra tent and the generous surroundings are all yours.

The standard price is for two people in a shared bed. There is an additional $30/night fee if you wish to use two separate beds.
House Truck sleeps a maximum of four people. There is an $30/night additional fee for each extra person beyond two people.

Hi Sophia, thanks for your review and we are happy you enjoyed the House Truck. The mossies can be annoying at certain times of the year, the best approach is to give the truck a light spray with the flyspray 10 mins or so before retiring inside for the night and then making sure the insect screens are used and the door closed.

Thanks William, yes, its a fair call regarding the access in the House Truck, certainly one of our other "Greenie" houses would be a more suitable option for those with mobility issues, it is a cosy space for sure. Glad you found the bed comfortable though and enjoyed your stay. Happy travels :)

The Amazing Housetruck was indeed amazing! The truck itself and separate loo are super clean, the bed comfy and the outdoor bath is spectacular. I had such a wonderful time enjoying the view towards the sea, listening to the birds and making sure the cheeky Wekas don't steal any of my possessions. :-) If you wanna get away for some time, relax and be surrounded by nature, this is the ideal spot.

We had a lovely time. Although it's a house truck, it has all the amenities, and the outdoors shower and bath are divine. It was also warm, and that was without lighting the fire.

Golden Bay Hideaway is at the northern end of Abel Tasman National Park. You can walk the Abel Tasman Coast Track and end up at our doorstep.
